Back from Daytona

I attended The North Carolina Occupational Safety and Health Conference in Daytona Beach. I needed one more credit to aquire my certification as an Industrial Hygiene Tech. and pave the way to my eventual CIH. I have never been to the beach so I brought along the twins and Mom to enjoy the expensive hotel room. As you can see from the photos the beach was pretty but the rest of the town........ well lets just say failing to be a Nascar Fan I will probably never see Daytona again. I'm sure like most old beach towns there are good and bad parts but it seemed so dirty to me. Although I'm beginning to feel that way about St. Pete. I really crave the old Florida beaches. Beaches that haven't been so built up you can still see the water. If there is an old Florida Beach town that hasn't been ravaged by over- building and commercialization I want to move there. My research starts today. In the mean time here are some pics of A and B and Momma. With some imagination one can conjur up a magical Daytona in its hay day.

Some semi real waves that you don't see in the Gulf along with some surfers that only show up here pre and post hurricane. A Beach shot with the Gondalas and boardwalk that is reminiscent of Coney Island.

This is a shot of an outdoor Ampitheater. Luckily for us our stay fell on a very unpopulated beach so the area had more pigeons than people and made me think of Paris.

What a Sport Mom was.
