Leap Day

This year has been designated as Year of the Frog by global conservation organizations. To raise awareness, many zoos and aquariums across the country will be holding events on leap day , (today) and the weekend. Come on everyone has some love for the little indicator species. I myself am a fan. Hmm let us count the reasons why our little amphibian friends are disappearing.............pollution, changing climates, fungus, mutation, loss of habitat or could we save ourselves a little time and sum it up in one self centered Homo Sapien like bundle, Mankind.

I know that both Lowry Park Zoo and the Florida Aquarium are having events but if your not in the Tampa Bay area check out your local leap day events. To learn more about frogs, go to http://www.amphibianark.org/
