Turkey Day in the keys

We decided to head south for Thanksgiving and visit with our newest addition and her parents.

The three of us were so sick that we really almost ditched the trip to spend the holiday in bed, but in hindsite I am very glad I muscled through. The kids had such a great time hanging out in the wilderness of the estate, feeding peacocks, fishing, hanging on vines, checking out the iguanas, and running from wild animals formerly known as sketchy house cats. They were amazed that there were no fences to hold them in and it was the best little vacation we have had in a while. I lost my voice the day we left and never regained it until well after we returned, probably made the vacation even that much better for the relatives especially my offspring. It was also nice to miss out on the cold snap that took over Tampa Bay for those couple days.

Mornings hit you like a sunny brick no escaping that screeching ball of fire but with neighbors like this it wasn't so bad being up at the crack of dawn.
Although it may look otherwise we were not without indoor plumbing.

Sounds like a wonderful time. Kids need space to run around and breathe and it seems that yours got it.
