Going Camping

Well they keep asking sooooooo we are gonna pop a tent in Nana and PopPop's back yard this weekend. I dread the bugs and the humidity and I wonder when that happened?!! I used to love to camp and hang out listening to the sounds of nature but now all I can think of are the mosquito's and the Palmetto bugs and the scorpions. Did all these creepy crawler's exist when I was young and camping...............NO there are no scorpions in PA and I remember it getting cold at night so this will be different. I wonder if it is cheating to lug an air mattress out there?

Dancing

My south Pinellas counterpart hit the news. Check out the article and news clip, Buyers Beware , it gives a personal take on our two person program.

NOW THE BONES, (From an Email from a good friend of mine)

Recently I noticed TJ Maxx had some of the recalled Thomas toys on their shelf, I notified their customer service . their response "it's a voluntary recall". They're off my shopping list.

Thank you for contacting T.J. Maxx Customer Service.> >

We looked into this and found it is a voluntary recall. In any case, we are very glad that you took the time to bring this to our attention and we most certainly share your concerns. We have passed this on to the appropriate people for further review.> >

My reply.
It's good to know that T.J. Maxx does not take "voluntarily" recalled items off their shelves. Everyone I know will be informed that T.J. Maxx is not concerned for the safety of their children.

been busy living

So I've been led astray by life with three year old twins. Every so often I stop capturing or logging every moment and just live in it. Then the old Capricorn in me kicks in and I realize that I will not be able to remember all this great stuff and I begin the records again. I think the fact that I have two childhoods all at once makes me even more anxious about having some historical record. The highlight of the weekend was our first trip to see the Devil Rays play. We wanted to wait until they could possibly make it to the seventh inning stretch so we opted to see the Rays go up against the Dodgers. If anyone knows Tampa Bay sports, crowds were never really an issue and usually it is disheartening to find more fans for away teams then the home team but we really hit the nail on the head with this game. Second biggest crowd of the season and it was throw back night so allot of ole' timers with '55 dodgers uniforms. They even had some real players from that year. Really was a blast and to boot WE WON.
The kids did great and made it to the seventh inning. Only let down is we had planned to visit the Ray tank after the stretch but sadly watched from across the field as they covered them up for the evening. Squish A was sad to miss out but next time we promised to visit the tank first. So the two pictures I did take were a bit fuzzy but oh well the moment is captured.

Hopscotch for the appendage enhanced child

After mopping up the kitchen floor I went to herd the twins up for the evening tub. When I found them outside Dad was trying to teach Squish A the game of hopscotch. This is the creation he was to have her utilize. No numbers no rocks and would you believe three squares wide in some areas. I got quite a giggle before schooling him on my street game knowledge. To my surprise the kids are both at a perfect age to enjoy this popular sidewalk game. When I was a tike we used a rock to scratch out the playing field but things are much easier these days with sidewalk chalk.

So tell me can you pass a hopscotch game chalked out on a public sidewalk without doing the hop or do you keep on walking?? I always do the hop can't help myself. For the real rules and the history check out the links.

Really descriptive rules!!
